26th April 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey everyone. The new website is coming along. I have designed all the layouts of the pages and the menu will not be on the actual webpage, but on a seperate pop-up menu page. I have done some media and stuff for it and should be ready in around 2 weeks.

We could also have a gig very soon. Nothing certain yet, so i wont mention much about it. It could be within the next month and other bands will be playing too. The band needs to talk to sort it out so keep an eye out for us. We also may have a gig at Ashmans house. That isn't certain either but it will be a little later in the year. Things are looking up for Fat Mallard. See you laters you damn punk kids.

Hey everyone. Just to let you know that this site is soon to be changed (will this be the 5th site?) and improved. For some reason, i don't like the websites i create after a while. Maybe because i see them too much. So give suggestions on the Smurftrain forum. I will start a topic there, so post comments for the new site. It will be available soon.

We have almost finished work on our latest song 'Trendy Girl'. It now includes a ska chorus. But we need to perfect it and actually learn it. Every time we turn up for practise, some one has forgotten it (if not all of us). I think we will start work on new songs in the next practise too, as well as possibly doing 'Turning Japanese' and some other covers. So keep your eyes out. And visit the Smurftrain board (www.smurftrain.50megs.com). Click on the board link on the navigation bar. See ya laters. This is whack!

Hey everyone. Sorry i havent updated the website in a while, but i have been ill and not able to sort things out. But i am feeling good now, and back to normal. The band hasn't done much since my last update. We have improved the song 'Trendy Girl' quite a lot and it is now sounding almost finished. Need a few more minutes work on it to complete the track.

We should also (hopefully) be practicing during the Easter holidays so we can have a few more tracks lined up. That is, if everything goes to plan.

I am just about to make minor changes to the site so it can be improved even more (cough!) so keep a look out for new stuff arriving on the site soon. Till then...

Hey guys! I know i haven't updated the site for a while, but nothing interesting has happened. We have band practise on sunday (if things go as planned) and we will be working on the EP material again. We may also have a gig available in the summer with Sandy's band apparently. So keep your eyes out for us (although Sandy's band doesn't have a name yet).

See you later

P.S. There are some new pics on the downloads page

Hey dudes. Sorry there sin't much news happening, but there is nothing much new to talk about. But we do have a new mail-list for you all to join if you wish. Apart from that, there is nothing else to say. Thanks y'all.

Hey everyone. The site hasn't changed much except for changing the board, again. Thats all folks!

25th February 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey dudes. Just uploaded new Ash page and a new downloads page which looks okay until you click the picture. It then decides to fuck up (bastard 50 megs making it complicated for me). The broken link to the message board will be fixed by the end of the day since i need to search through code and change some stuff so it might take a while. See you later

Listen to some bands called Husking Bee and Sobut. J-rock and J-punk is sooooo funny, but cool

24th February 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey dudes. Hope you are all having a great time with work and moshing intervals. As you can see, there is a new message board which can be used. I have took the form for the old one away now so if you want to leave a message, sign for the new board. The old one is officially an 'archive'. I am unsure about whether to change the site, but i don't know. Maybe someone else would like to do it? I'm thinking Lee maybe but someone else wishes to do it, let me know. I just feel it would be better to have someone with 24hr internet access to maintain the site, but we will see.

There are going to be some new sections here soon including an Ash section, which i have just invented and he doesn't know yet. I feel he deserves his own page. See you dudes

Hey dudes. Its Pancake Day tommorrow and i havent heard enough people talking about it! Talk damn you!

As most of you already know, Fat Mallard has lost our most recent place of practice, the 'Garage'. And we haden't even practised yet (did someone tell Lee's Gran how bad we are?) So now we are kinda stuck. I havent talked to anyone else in the band yet, but i feel that the outlook isn't too grand for the band. The band will split up in September anyway (as far as we can see due to Uni) and so i dont know what is happening now with no safe place to practise in which we wont disturb someone.

Hope everyone had a great half term and when there is new news, i shall type it here

11th February 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey dudes. I thought it would be really good to have a gig review board on the site, but it hasn't gone to plan. I have the board but it doesnt like to post much. Try it out and see if it works. If it does, great. If not, let me know! Cheers!

Hey dudes. Next band practise has been sorted at the new 'venue' and so things are kinda looking up at the mo. I changed the marquee cos the name of the working title of the EP was wrong *sorry for getting it wrong nick* Thats all for the mo *cries due to lack of new news*

06th February 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey dudes. Just to say that the band has a new place of practise. We can now practise at the garage. Thanks to Lee, the band can go a step further now.

We should have the EP sorted out soon so keep an eye out. As soon as we get it sorted, the band will be having some gigs and so we will let you know as soon as it is sorted out.

For everyone that knows about it, keep going on the Kill Everyone Project website and help the world become extinct! For those that don't know, click on the 99% good advert and then click on the Kill Everyone hyperlink. Join and help us to kill everyone. See you soon

Hey people who are visiting the site. I would like to thank everyone that turned up to my party. Had a great time and it would'nt have been the same without you there. For the people who didn't turn up, shame on you!

The site has been updated slightly with the media page being updated and hopefully working again. A few changes will be changed over the upcoming weeks, but nothing too drastic will be happening.

Please let everyone you know about this website and the band. The more people that know, the better the band will get. LET US BE KNOWN! If you wish to talk to the band or contact anyone in 'the know' visit www.smurftrain.50megs.com/forum.htm The site has a message board which we regualiry visit and also has a Fat Mallard section. Thanks

Hey guys. The site is now being updated often, so that is good. I will be taking the mail-list link down from the navigation bar because it seems that the site that was managing the mail list has just vanished. So for the meanwhile, it will be out of action.

Don't forget about Saturday (if you've forgotten!) I need someone to speak to me about what time you are meeting, if you are staying at my house, etc. Thanks

26th January 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey guys. Sorry that the site hasn't be updated/altered/changed for a while but i cannot be arsed. Had band practise yesterday and have finally finished Gordon (which apparently has a different name. Also picked the songs for the EP...I think. The songs we chose were kinda random and so will probably be changed again. Hopefully have a new place to practise soon too since we were complained at yesterday for being too loud. Thanks for reading and for noticing the band

16th January 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey guys. Just to say that my bass playing is now resuming after having my cast took off and being discharged from the hospital. Should be back to normal in around a week. Thanks

12th January 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey guys. Sorry about all of the problems with the new site. I think it is safe to mainly use this website for now, but i am not against checking the Tripod site cos that site is slightly better. I am also going to make a newsletter service so you can get all of the latest Fat Mallard news, udpates and anything straight to your inbox. I will let you know when this happens. See ya

04th January 2004- Post by Gareth

Hey guys. We had our first practice this year today and it went quite well, except for the obvious lack of bass action. But hopefully I will be able to play in two weeks, and be back to normal within a month.

Started to write some music today, but the lack of practicing has left us a little dry, so we need to practice a bit more before writing new material. We have started to play Arsehole by Snuff though. It sounds really good. Also, a DVD of our performance at Bands In The Sand is available. For more details, e-mail us or see Lee.

02nd January 2004-Post by Gareth

Hey dudes and mallards alike. Just to say that I have a plaster cast on my arm now for two weeks and my injury will be reviewed again. Outlook is promising though. Should be playing bass again within two months.

01st January 2004-Post (created slowly) by Gareth

Hey dudes. Just to say that yesterday (New Years Eve), Gareth (me) fell down some stairs and have sustained a serious wrist and hand injury. I have hospital appointments to see the consultants but could be out indefinitely. More news will be posted when available. Happy New Year mallards!

31st December 2003- Post by Gareth

Hey dudes. Just to say that this is the new website for the band and I hope you like it. Any information needed will be found here and we have a message board for people to make suggestions, queries and questions. Any suggestions for improving the site would be gratefully accepted and Fat Mallard wishes everyone a happy new year. May 2004 be Fat Mallard's greatest!
